More than 1,000 calls for service were made during the fall Rod Run event in Pigeon Forge, according to the Pigeon Forge Police Department.

PFPD said they received 1,006 calls for service. Police also gave out 862 citations during the event, 613 more than the previous year.

Officers also made 85 arrests and responded to 29 crashes, according to the report.

Pigeon Forge Police tallied the numbers between Sept. 12 through Sept. 16.

The previous Rod Run was held in September 2023 and there were 975 calls for service during that event.

During that event, police gave out 249 citations, made 44 arrests and responded to 31 crashes.

During Rod Run, fans of classic cars flock to Pigeon Forge to show off their collections and see the collections of others over the course of three days.

It was held at the LeConte Center.

2024′s fall Rod Run was no exception. According to the Pigeon Forge Police Department, officers responded to more than 1,000 calls for service and took more than 80 people into custody.

Below is a breakdown of how the fall Rod Run compared to this year’s spring event.

On top of responding to all those calls for service, a Pigeon Forge officer was also injured during the event.

According to Chief Richard Catlett, the officer was riding a motorcycle when he was hit.

Catlett said the officer was banged up but should be okay in a few days.
