HE MIGHT NOT PLAY AGAIN: John Calipari fears the worst as Kentucky wildcats key player suffer neck injury.
Reed Sheppard received a message from a recent addition to La Familia.
In Starkville, Mississippi, the Kentucky Wildcats emerged victorious with a huge performance from rookie sensation Reed Sheppard.
After going 11–14 from the floor and making a shot with seconds remaining, Sheppard finished with 32 points to help Kentucky defeat Mississippi State 91–89.
Boogie Fland, a five-star point guard prospect signed by Kentucky in 2024, posted a message on Sheppard’s Instagram following the victory.
Fland captioned a photo she took of Sheppard on TV, adding, “You cold fr (for real).”
This is the reason Kentucky basketball has such a unique and rich history. Fland supports the squad even though he is a member of La Familia and hasn’t visited the school as a player or student yet.
Being a versatile guard similar to Sheppard, Fland will be a unique one-and-done player for the Kentucky Wildcats. Fland is not just a fantastic shooter but a superb passer as well. He will be selected in the first mock draft round of the 2025 NBA Draft as a result.
Regarding Fland’s ability to shoot the basketball, Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports stated the following: “Fland is a skilled guard whose biggest asset is his ability to shoot the basketball.” Like very few other high school basketball players, he can get hot and start making difficult long-range baskets. His willingness to accept those difficult shots, nevertheless, may have an effect on his effectiveness. Given that he is clearly a stronger shooter than those stats suggest, his 30% three-point shooting percentage in the EYBL was directly related to his shot choice.”
Fland will shoot a high percentage of the ball next season, much like many other players on the current Kentucky squad.
