How about adding someone to the Bengals’ offensive lineup?

It’s nearing free agency time, and the offensive line seems to be the major priority as usual. Starting in the trenches, let’s discuss some prospective offensive targets for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Former Patriots
Although Mike Onwenu is more effective on the interior, he is a common choice to be the Bengals’ next right tackle. Onwenu would be a wise choice if they were only going to recruit one offensive lineman on the outside. He could be signed with the intention of playing left guard, but they are aware that if they don’t select a tackle in Round 1, they could play him at guard. But he might come with a hefty price tag.

A less expensive option might be Jermaine Eluemunor, whose dislike for the Chiefs is rather charming. He wouldn’t be a better option than Jonah Williams either.Cincinnati Bengals: Offensive free agent targets - Cincy Jungle

My personal fave could be Trent Brown. Despite some injury concerns, he is a highly skilled player who will turn 31 before the season begins. Joe Burrow would feel a lot more at ease knowing that his bookend tackles are Trent Brown and Orlando Brown.

Speaking of big people who can get injuries, Mekhi Becton is back on the market. Becton had his finest NFL season while playing for Pollack. They need to have a backup plan in case this one doesn’t work out, even if he might be a relatively inexpensive and highly rewarding acquisition.

While Tyron Smith was in Dallas, Pollack also served as his coach—and what an amazing name that is. Smith is still a good player at 33. Perhaps it’s time for the Bengals to get on the other side of that after allowing 36-year-old Andrew Whitworth walk and having to watch him remain among the best in the league for five more years.Cincinnati Bengals: Offensive free agent targets - Cincy Jungle

Following a dismal season for Irv Smith, the Bengals last year fell victim to the rent-a-tight end method. Noah Fant, who is 26 years old, might be able to help them get off this rollercoaster. Fant is athletic enough to have an influence on the passing game and can line up wherever in the formation. He might ease the upcoming wide receiver transition for the Bengals and be a wonderful match for their offense.

Curtis Samuel is the only wide receiver I truly like. Although he can play both inside and outside, I believe he would be a fantastic replacement for Tyler Boyd in the slot. Though he is not quite thirty, Samuel has never demonstrated the kind of quarterback play he would in Cincinnati. In Cincinnati in 2024, Samuel might have a breakthrough year as the third chair in the Burrow Symphony.

A few well-known running backs are set to enter the market.

Antonio Gibson is the one who grabs my attention the most. Over the last two seasons, Gibson’s carries have decreased, but he is still a productive pass catcher at 6 feet 2 inches and 220 pounds. He simply seems like a perfect fit, and his cost should be reasonable.

Naturally, they are only choices in the event that Joe Mixon is freed, which right now is far from certain.
