The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking shots from former players after two bad losses.

After two straight embarrassing losses to the lowly Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots, it’s not just fans but former Pittsburgh Steelers who have voiced their frustrations with the team.

Chris Hoke, who played for the Steelers from 2004 to 2011, took aim at safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who’s been critical of his team but Hoke has been underwhelmed by Fitzpatrick’s own play this season.

“Minkah has 64 tackles, 0 interceptions, 0 forced fumbles, 0 fumble recoveries,” Hoke said on 93.7 The Fan this week. “‘A’ players have to play ‘A’ ball in games like last Thursday & this Saturday. They haven’t gotten that from him this season.”

Fitzpatrick, who played through a broken hand against the Arizona Cardinals, finished with five total tackles and one tackle for loss against the Patriots.

Following the loss to New England, Fitzpatrick called out his teammates for their effort. He said he believed there were Steelers players who thought they could simply show up and make plays. Hoke seems to think the same sentiment applies to Fitzpatrick.
