Very sad: New york giant key player has been announced…

New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) did not receive an injury designation ahead of the team’s Week 17 home game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Lawrence was able to practice on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday. After being on a pitch count over the last two weeks, Lawrence figures to continue to be on a pitch count for the rest of the season.
The Giants injury report, which Wednesday listed over a dozen players, only listed three players on the final injury report. Tight end Lawrence Cager (groin) received a doubtful option. Cornerback Deonte Banks (shoulder) and receiver Robinson (quad) both received “questionable” designations.
Banks and Robinson were both limited in practice on Thursday and Friday. Cager was also listed as a limited participant in practice.
Also, the Giants listed running back Saquon Barkley (elbow), guard Ben Bredeson (quad), defensive back Adoree’ Jackson (ankle), guard Justin Pugh (elbow/back), center John Michael Schmitz (shoulder), and tight end Darren Waller (knee) as full participants at practice on Friday.
The New York Giants are coming off a successful first season under general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, qualifying for the postseason for the first time in six years and even winning a playoff game.
But sustained success in the NFL isn’t guaranteed from year to year. Each offseason presents new challenges, and for a team like the Giants — who want to get to the next level — they must take measures to see that they don’t regress.
This offseason, the Giants will be concentrating on retaining their top two offensive stars — quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley — but there is more that fans can count on happening in the coming months.
Here are some additional reasons for hope for Giant fans
