St George Illawarra Dragons Has Officially Announced The Signing Of Talented Player From…

Moses Suli has inked a fresh three-year contract extension with the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The new deal will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

After moving from the Manly Sea Eagles, the barnstorming centre burst onto the scene for the Red V in 2022 and has made 39 first-grade appearances since.

His performances have also seen him earn eight international caps for Tonga.

The National Rugby League (NRL) has today issued a Notice to St George Illawarra Dragons player Talatau Junior Amone under the NRL Playing Contract and Remuneration Rules.

On 11 December, 2023 the player was sentenced in Wollongong Local Court to two years imprisonment by way of an intensive corrections order and 300 hours of community service.

This sentence followed Amone’s conviction on charges of Intimidation and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm in Company relating to an incident at Warrawong on 15 November 2022.

Additionally, the player was fined $1,000 by the Court for a charge of Destroy or Damage Property and ordered to pay compensation to the victim.

The NRL’s wellbeing and counselling services have been made available to the player.

While the court ultimately ruled against him, Amone avoided prison.

Instead he was sentenced to a two-year intensive corrections order in addition to the 300 hours of community service.

The Dragons made a couple of moves this off-season in anticipation of Amone’s deregistration, signing playmakers Kyle Flanagan and Ronald Volkman.

Volkman was released from his deal from the Warriors two years early to sign with the Dragons in search of greater opportunity.
