Welcome to Louisville……

Phase 1 of “Operation ReviVILLE,” as Kelsey dubbed it, was assembling a team Cards fans could get excited about.
Kelsey and his staff went to the portal and got impact players like J’Vonne Hadley, Reyne Smith, and — most importantly — point guard Chucky Hepburn.
By January, they surpassed Louisville’s 2023-24 and 2022-23 win totals (eight and four, respectively).
Phase 2 is about building for the future. After signing one freshman in the Class of 2024 (Khani Rooths), Kelsey’s first 2025 pledge was a big one.
Five-star PG Mikel Brown Jr. announced his commitment to Louisville during a first-half timeout of U of L’s New Year’s Day victory over North Carolina.
Hepburn called Brown a “program changer.”
Kelsey told him they’d win a national championship together. Hope, excitement and expectations are extremely high. But how could Brown really elevate Cardinals hoops?
