Seventeen games later, that seems like an afterthought after the Giants finished the season 6-11, losing five of their last seven games.
Tight end Darren Waller was added to the mix with the expectations that he would be a significant part of the Giants’ playoff push.
Waller, however, would have an injury-plagued season, missing five games. Still, Waller enjoyed his first season in New York.

Waller shared how tough it is to win in the National Football League.
“A little bit, yeah, naturally [disappointed] because we had greater expectations coming into this season,” Waller said. “In the league, it’s tough to win week-in, week-out. It’s tough to win year-to-year.”
