TUSCALOOSA, Alabama: Damon Payne Jr., a redshirt junior defensive lineman who is starting his fourth season with the team, is the focal point of Alabama’s defense. He has accepted the role of leader.
Growing, tenacious, and steadfast in his devotion to the Crimson Tide, Payne Jr.’s path has been marked, particularly after the famous head coach Nick Saban retired.
