Sad News From Brisbane Broncos…

Broncos captain Adam Reynolds has been cleared of serious injury after limping off the training field on Monday.
Media cameras caught the incident that left Brisbane fans fearing for the start of the NRL season, given Reynolds is such an instrumental member of the team that made the grand final last year.
9News reporter Ben Dobbin shared the footage on social media, with the 33-year-old assisted from the paddock in Brisbane.
Nothing serious, the scans were positive.
“(Reynolds messaged and) he just said, ‘Muscle and ligament damage, I’ll be back training next week’.”
The Broncos also put out a statement on the injury.
“Adam picked up the injury in a drill towards the end of today’s session,” head of performance Adam Ballard said.
He had a scan this afternoon… which showed a foot muscle strain.
“We’ll see how Adam pulls up over the next 24 hours but he is a quick healer and we expect him to be back running in the coming days.”
Reynolds played 23 games last season for the Broncos, helping the side through to a grand final appearance against Penrith.
The premiership-winning No.7 missed periods with calf and neck concerns, but was available for the majority of Brisbane’s campaign and finals series.
He has been considered injury-prone in the past.
Reynolds is seen as the key hope to the finals hopes at Red Hill, with his influence on the young crop of talent at the club evident in their resurgence in the past two years.
Reece Walsh and Ezra Mam both benefited from playing alongside the experienced halfback, who has over 270 games of NRL experience, as well as two State of Oriign appearances for NSW back in 2016.
He isn’t the only experienced No.7 to succumb to injury during pre-season, with Warriors superstar Shaun Johnson spotted in a moon boot last week.
