Chelsea told Jhon Duran transfer truth as Aston Villa price tag clear amid their player exit…

Chelsea have been linked with a surprise move for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran in the final days of the January transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are said to be considering making a bid for the Colombian before the end of the transfer window.
The links come as Armando Broja continues to be linked with a move away, although the Blues are said to be demanding a fee of £50 million from any interested parties.
Duran arrived at Villa Park this time last year, completing a move from American outfit Chicago Fire.
The 20-year-old has mainly found himself behind main striker Ollie Watkins in the pecking order at Villa, coming on as a substitute in the majority of his appearances.
Villa reportedly paid a fee of around £18 million for the striker, but what sort of fee could they look for if they decide to cash in in the final week of the window? According to CIES’s tool, Duran is currently worth €20 million (£17 million).
Unai Emery’s side are however not likely to want to take a loss on their purchase, meaning that they are likely to demand at least the £18 million that they paid out.
BirminghamLive report that Villa are ‘insistent’ that Duran will not be leaving the club this month.
The striker may have had the chance to get a rare start for Villa when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup on Friday night.
It has however been confirmed by Emery that he will miss the game through injury which will keep him out of action for ‘the next weeks’
