Sad News From Norwich City…

First-team boss Louis van Gaal opted to give senior forward Memphis a run-out in the fixture but Academy graduate Will Keane stole the show with five of the goals in a 7-0 win on the night.
Will felt the brilliant chip he scored was one of his best in the United shirt and our video of the victory above is well worth watching, as it features some excellent attacking play by Warren Joyce’s side.
Keane started the rout with a simple finish from a pass from current Fulham star Andreas Pereira and he was also on hand to double the lead, tapping in a quite brilliant assist by Memphis.
After the break, Memphis again did well in his approach work to allow the centre-forward to cheekily lift his finish over a defender and complete his hat-trick.
There was no respite for Norwich’s youngsters, as Andreas slotted in a penalty in front of the Stretford End, before a moment of real magic. Keane weaved his way into space before chipping superbly over Remi Matthews, to earn applause from around the ground.
Memphis claimed another assist when Tim Fosu-Mensah raided forward to produce a cool finish and the scoring was completed by Keane showing strength to hold off his marker and fire in a pass by James Weir.
Incidentally, it was pleasing to see Will in the news again at the weekend, opening the scoring for Preston North End after just two minutes of their 2-1 away defeat to Leeds United.
Another ex-Red, Dan James, equalised for the hosts only four minutes later.
