Final look at Mizzou and reunion with previous great Rebel pitcher in the SEC Softball Tournament
A former Rebel has joined the Missouri staff.

After first appearing after week one (Feb. 13), Mizzou was ranked in all four of this week’s polls. In the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll, the Tigers are ranked #11, while in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll, they are ranked #12. Additionally, Mizzou is ranked #8 in Softball America polls and #10 in D1Softball polls.

After finishing the regular season with a perfect weekend against South Carolina, Missouri advances to the SEC Tournament. This is the Tigers’ first SEC series sweep since they defeated Texas A&M from April 29 to May 1, 2022. Ole Miss prevailed in its last two regular-season matchups, one at Arkansas and the other at Auburn.

The SEC Tournament in Auburn is set to begin at 1 p.m. CT with Ole Miss and Missouri. The match is scheduled to air on the SEC Connection.

Ole Miss is behind by Mizzou in the all-time series, 15-10.
The Tigers defeated Ole Miss 8-3 on April 15, the previous season, after taking down the Rebels. After that, Missouri lost its next two games in the series, 7-6 and 7-5.
Missouri lost a three-game series (5-1 loss, 5-3 loss, 5-1 loss) against the Rebels on March 25–27 of the 2022 season.
In the FAU Strike Out Cancer Tournament in 2021, the Tigers defeated Ole Miss 6-2 on February 20th.
In 2020, Mizzou improved its record against Ole Miss by winning three more games, sweeping the Rebels for a perfect weekend (March 6–8).
Larissa Anderson, the head coach, has a career record of 6-7 against Ole Miss.
Molly Jacobsen McCargar, an assistant coach, pitched at After transferring from Des Moines Area Community College (2017–18), Ole Miss from 2019–20. She was named to the All-SEC Second Team and the NFCA Second Team All-South Region. Over the course of two seasons, McCargar recorded 19 victories, five saves, 230 strikeouts, and a 2.53 ERA.

This week, Ole Miss track & field kicks off championship season in The Swamp. The Rebels will compete in the James G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track in Florida for the 2024 SEC Outdoor Championships. Fans may watch all three days of the competition live online via SEC Network+ and a live window on SEC Network on Championship Saturday. The competition takes place in Gainesville from May 9–11.
