JUST NOW: Cincinnati Bengals legend Logan Wilson Confirm Dead at 54 From a Badly Disease’s….

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson didn’t have any updates about a potential contract extension when he spoke to reporters during voluntary workouts on Monday.
It was the first time Wilson met with the media since the end of last season.
“It’s out of my control, just control what I can,” Wilson said. “I’m not worried about that right now.
Wilson is eligible for an extension along with quarterback Joe Burrow and receiver Tee Higgins, fellow members of the team’s 2019 draft class.
He’s entering the final year of his $4.9 million rookie contract that pays him $2.7 million in 2023.
Not that I know of yet, we’ve talked about,” Wilson said, during voluntary workouts on Monday.
“Hopefully we get something done, it’s really not up to me, that’s what I have an agent for.”
Duke Tobin, Bengals director of player personnel, has stressed the importance of retaining those homegrown talents throughout the offseason — “it’s something we think about all the time” — but he’s been a bit more reluctant to offer any insight into the process and hasn’t offered any timeline for getting the extensions done.
One of the few details he shared came at the NFL Scouting Combine when he told reporters that the team was operating in free agency with a framework in mind for Burrow’s extension.
“The contract things you can’t predict when and if they’ll get done,” Tobin said in April.
“We’re working to try to have as many good players on our football team as we can and try to keep them as long as we can, the ones that are producing and really fit well here.
We’re trying like heck to get those guys extended, renegotiated, however signed after their contract expires.
