The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are flying in 2024, currently sitting in fifth place with a positive record of 8-7.

On the heels of another disappointing season last year, the Bulldogs have undoubtedly been the most improved side in 2024 and are looming as one of the favourites to finish in the top eight.

The evolution of Stephen Crichton as the club’s leader has been instrumental in the club’s success, whilst the off-field recruitment from General Manager Phil Gould has been amongst the league’s best.

With the Bulldogs looking ahead to a desirable run home in 2024, the club’s CEO Aaron Warburton admitted he wants to see the team push for a top four finish.

“We’ve got an NRL season and no doubt all eyes are on that team, we’ve been fortunate enough to be sitting at the top of the table with our Jersey Flegg team and NSW Cup team.

“We won the club championship last year, which is probably ahead of where we thought we’d be.

“We want to finish in the top four, we want to make sure we’re playing finals footy.”

The Bulldogs have been absent from the NRL finals series since 2015 and haven’t finished in the top four since 2012 when they took out the minor premiership.

“If you look at the table at the moment we might be sitting in fifth spot but there’s a number of teams ready to pounce,” Warburton added.

“As long as we stick to our process, we’ll finish where we deserve to finish. “Success would look like a top eight position, that’s for sure.

The Bulldogs can jump into the NRL’s top four if they can take down a resurgent New Zealand Warriors side on Saturday afternoon.
