SAD NEWS: New York Giants announced that Kayvon Thibodeaux is leaving immediately after facing…

The New York Giants need to address the quarterback situation; that much is widely known and agreed upon between the organization and the fan base clamoring for an infusion of talent at the position.

But as far as how the team plans to address the position, that’s where things get a little dicey as a large section of the fan base is hoping that New York drafts a quarterback from what is widely regarded as a rich class this year while others seem fine with any plans for the Giants to run it back again with Daniel Jones.

General manager Joe Schoen has said multiple times that once Jones is fully recovered from a torn ACL, the expectation is he will be the starter.

The keyword here is “expectation,” as circumstances could change depending on how the off-season plays out.

Still, the idea of Jones getting another chance to be this team’s starting quarterback has created angst among a part of the fan base, who look at Jones’s limited playing time in 2023 and feel that the time has come for the team to go in another direction.

But some, including Schoen, apparently feel that the circumstances were stacked against the Giants, ranking from the revolving door on the offensive line due to injuries to the unforgiving schedule the Giants had to start last season.

Based on those factors, Schoen and the Giants want to keep the door open on Jones, who will be in Year 2 of his four-year, $160 million contract.
