SAD NEWS: NFL Announces The Departure of 2 Key Players From Cincinnati Bengals Today

CINCINNATI — The Bengals announced the hiring of Justin Rascati as pass game coordinator on Thursday morning.
They also promoted Brad Kragthorpe to quarterbacks coach and Jordan Kovacs to secondary/safeties coach.
Kragthorpe takes Dan Pitcher’s spot in the quarterbacks room, with Pitcher replacing Brian Callahan as offensive coordinator.
Kragthorpe has been on staff for the past five seasons and was the assistant quarterbacks coach in 2023.
Meanwhile, Kovacs is replacing Robert Livingston, who is expected to be named the next defensive coordinator at Colorado.
Kovacs has also spent the past five seasons on Zac Taylor’s staff.
He spent the past two seasons (2022-23) as assistant linebackers coach, after serving as a defensive quality control coach from ’19-21.
Rascati spent the past two seasons in Minnesota as assistant offensive line coach. He also spent two seasons with the Broncos as their quality control coach.
Bowers became the first two-time John Mackey Award winner and, while at the University of Georgia, was a two-time national champion.
He also holds the university’s record for single-season receiving touchdowns.
Bowers was a three-time All-SEC and All-American selection after making an immediate impact with the Bulldogs as a freshman in 2021.
ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has the Napa, California, native ranked as the No. 5 prospect. ESPN analyst Jordan Reid has him at No. 8.
