LET Him GO: Tennessee Volunteers Head Coach angry and Fired Key Player Today

Collierville High School wide receiver Joakim Dodson has officially committed to the Tennessee Volunteers following multiple visits from the staff and visiting Tennessee on their junior day event. Dodson stands 6-1  and 181 pounds.

He committed to the Volunteers over the Missouri Tigers, making him only the second commit from the state of Tennessee so far.

Following his commitment, Dodson spoke with Volunteer Country to let us know why Tennessee was his school of choice.

My relationships and trust in the staff was amazing, so it was a no-brainer, and every time I go up there, it just feels like home to me.

Following his opening statement, he was asked what separated Tennessee from the rest of the field.

Dodson goes on to state, “My amazing relationship with this staff; they saw my progression from my 9th grade year to now and have believed in me for a long time, even before I was the player that I am today, so that’s why it was an easy choice.

The talented in-state prospect was asked if there was a specific coach he connected well with.

“Coach Kelsey Pope, for sure! My dad taught me how to play receiver, and when I meet with Coach Pope, it’s like the same thing, and I love that.

And he’s also just a great coach but even better person, and we talk more about off-the-field stuff than we do football, so that’s my guy.
