Despite he’s leaving Georgia Bulldogs today ‘Disappointment will be on Kirby Smart

Georgia Bulldogs missed a lot of years to be on the cover of an NCAA Football video game.

The last edition of NCAA Football was NCAA Football 14, which released in July 2013 and featured Michigan‘s Denard Robinson on the cover.

Since then, NCAA Football has gone on an 11-year hiatus. EA Sports produces the popular video game and has hinted at its return in the summer of 2024.

No Georgia Bulldog has ever graced the cover of NCAA football.

That will probably change soon because Georgia has really ramped up its program in the years since NCAA Football 14.

Let’s take a look at the top Georgia Bulldogs that missed chances to be on the cover of the beloved video game from 2013-2023.

It is rare for defenders to be on the cover of NCAA Football, but Roquan Smith’s insane 2017 college football season was certainly cover-worthy.

Smith would have been a fun linebacker to play as with due to his elite speed and hitting ability.

The tough part for Smith would’ve been beating out Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson to be on the cover.

D’Andre Swift would’ve been an extremely fun running back to play with in NCAA Football.

In the old NCAA Football games, speed backs were usually better to play with than power backs.

Swift’s best chance to make the cover would’ve been if EA Sports selected multiple cover athletes.
