When the Cavs comeback past the Celtics 105-104, led by Dean Wade, Boston’s 11-game winning streak comes to an end.
CLEVELAND (AP) — Dean Wade stunned Boston 105-104 on Tuesday night, breaking the NBA-leading Celtics’ winning streak at 11 games. Wade nailed five 3-pointers and scored 20 points in the fourth quarter, and Cleveland won a replay review in the closing seconds.
Both forward Evan Mobley, who left the game with a sprained ankle in the third quarter, and All-Star Donovan Mitchell were absent from the Cavaliers’ comeback victory in the fourth quarter due to knee injuries.
With 19.1 seconds remaining, Wade scored a career-high 23 points to help the Cavaliers win 105-104 thanks to a putback slam.
With 0.7 seconds remaining, Darius Garland was called for a foul on Boston’s Jayson Tatum. However, the Cavs protested, and the officials reversed the call, finding that Tatum had made the initial contact.
Kristaps Porzingis scored 24 points and Tatum scored 26 for Boston, which suffered its first defeat since February 1.
DALLAS (AP) — Despite Luka Doncic recording a 30-point triple-double for the fourth straight game, Indiana prevailed over Dallas with 20 points from Myles Turner and 19 points and 11 assists from Tyrese Haliburton.
