Max Verstappen receives a warning from Christian Horner to LEAVE Red Bull as a Formula 1 star.
In light of the Horner incident, Verstappen has threatened to leave the team.
He said that if Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko left, he would follow in the midst of an investigation into the 80-year-old’s possible media leaks of private information.
Verstappen’s transfer to Mercedes has been discussed, as the Silver Arrows hope to succeed Lewis Hamilton in the 2025 campaign.
Furthermore, Horner, who has been cleared of acting in a “inappropriate manner” with a female coworker, has now said that he will not obstruct the 26-year-old’s departure.
Nonetheless, he forewarned Verstappen that Red Bull, the Constructors’ Championship winners the previous two years, would have no faster car on the grid.
Horner stated: “A piece of paper cannot be used to compel someone to be somewhere.”
We won’t compel someone to be here against their will if they didn’t want to be a part of our team, you know.
“That holds true for anyone who works in a support role within the company, be it a designer, a machine operator, or someone else.
Participating in a group such as this calls for dedication and enthusiasm. And we’ve seen that Max possesses that.
“He moved here when he was eighteen years old. Furthermore, I am confident in his dedication and enthusiasm.
However, no one person is greater than the team.
“The car we drive is amazing. One spot is available for the following year. It’s likely that sixteen drivers are vying for a spot in that vehicle for the following year.
“I’m sure every team in the paddock would love to have Max, but as Toto [Wolff, Mercedes boss] also said, the best drivers always want to be in the best cars.”
