SO SAD: Detroit Tigers players are in tears today having two key player suspended by NCAA ahead of….
Parker Meadows, a former top prospect who is dominating this spring, could be ready for a big-time season as the Detroit Tigers aim to rise in 2024.
The Detroit Tigers may be about to witness a career-defining season from former top prospect Parker Meadows as they attempt to continue their upward trajectory in 2024.
The Rotowire fantasy baseball portal provided the following information:

In Friday’s Grapefruit League game against the Orioles, Meadows went 1-for-3 with a double. With a 1.131 OPS in spring, Meadows is batting.350.
Throughout eight games this spring, Meadows has blasted two home runs and two doubles. After an inconsistent first 37 games in 2023, the young outfielder seems to be Detroit’s best center-field option. Meadows could be primed for a breakthrough in his first complete MLB season in 2024.
Riley Greene, a young outfielder, is expected to move to right field, while Meadows seems destined for centerfield. The 24-year-old Meadows made his major league debut last year and was previously selected by the Tigers in the second round out of high school in Georgia.
He batted.240 with three home runs and thirteen RBI in those 37 games.
He will be the third homegrown position player in that Tigers lineup, behind Greene and Spencer Torkelson, if he does have that breakthrough season. Colt Keith is anticipated to disband the team along with them.
Along with these youthful position players, Detroit made an effort to strengthen their pitching in 2024. After missing a season due to injury, Casey Mize will be back in the starting lineup. In the summer, they also signed veterans Jack Flaherty and Kenta Maeda.
