SO SAD: Patrick Towles and two other key player announce their resignation and departure from Kentucky Wildcats today.

Three Transfers That Will Affect Kentucky Football in 2024
These individuals will be helpful as the Wildcats only bring back 49% of their output from the previous campaign.
Mark Stoops, the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats, went through the transfer portal to cover some of the roster gaps before the team began spring practice. These three transfers will have an effect on Lexington on Saturdays in the fall.
Jamon Dumas-Johnson, who is expected to start at weakside linebacker in 2024, had 34 stops, 5.5 stops for loss, 3.5 sacks, and two interceptions for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs in the previous campaign.
He did, however, just recover from an injury that kept him out of the last five games of the campaign. Dumas-Johnson, one of the best LB portal adds, did record seven tackles in a victory over Missouri, which was a season high.
Dumas-Johnson finished 2022 as an All-American and All-SEC player with 125 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks. In an HBO documentary titled “The Cost of Winning,” linebacker Dumas-Johnson—then ranked among the top ten in the country—discussed the challenges his high school football team faced at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ja’Mori Maclin, who was selected to the Second Team All-AAC last season after catching 57 catches for 1004 yards and 11 touchdowns, is the Wildcats’ expected starting wide receiver in the slot.
In 2023, Maclin recorded four games with at least 100 receiving yards, including a season-high six receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-14 victory over Temple.
Maclin also caught at least one touchdown pass in eight consecutive games and five or more passes in six games, including five in a row.
