The Alabama Crimson Tide won their last home series of the year this weekend.

The Tide defeated defending World Series Champion LSU two games to one.

Alabama won a thrilling walk off game 8-7 on Friday, fell to the Tigers 6-3 on Saturday, and won a hard fought 4-3 game on Sunday afternoon.

Bama improved to 32-19 overall and 12-15 in the SEC while the Bayou Bengals fell to 33-20 and 10-17 in league play.

The win was the first series win over LSU for the Tide since 2016-in Baton Rouge- and the first at home since 2011.

Bama finished their home schedule with a record of 22-8, 9-6 in the SEC, with series victories over Tennessee-number five at the time, Arkansas-number one at the time-, South Carolina-number eight at the time, and LSU, with a two games to one loss to top ranked-at the time- Texas A&M.

In a thrilling win the Tide scored fought back from a 7-3 deficit with three runs in the 8th and two in the 9th to defeat LSU 8-7 in walk off fashion.

The Tide sent Greg Farone to the mound to face Gage Jump for the Bayou Bengals.

LSU got on the board in the first inning on a one out home run by slugger Jared Jones.

The long ball was Jones 22nd of the year.

The Tide bounced back to tie the game in the second inning.

Centerfielder TJ McCants reached on a bunt single then stole second before racing home on a long triple by William Hamiter off the center field wall.

The blast by Hamiter just missed leaving the park.

The Tigers appeared to break the tie in the 3rd inning.

Tommy White drew a two out walk and apparently scoring on a double by Jones.

Injured Alabama pitcher Riley Quick took notice from the dugout and saw that White missed touching third base on the way home, and after an appeal play the third out was recorded, taking the run off the board.
