Aaron Boone fears the worst as new york yankees key player suffers neck injury.

AWAY FROM THE PARK Update on Aaron Judge’s injury:
the manager is “done predicting” a comeback, and the star of the New York Yankees is missing practice once more.
Aaron Judge’s expected return from injury is a question that manager of the NEW York Yankees, Aaron Boone, will not answer.
On Saturday morning, Judge, 31, was supposed to participate in batting practice at Tampa, Florida’s spring training.
Due to an abdominal ailment, the renowned outfielder and power hitter has not played since last Sunday.
The Yankees are concerned about Judge’s injury in advance of the Major League Baseball season, which begins on March 28.
This week he underwent an MRI, which revealed no problems, but he missed practice on Friday.
Rather, he used batting practice to work out indoors on Friday and Saturday.
Judge didn’t hit; he was only observed practicing defense on the outdoor field on Saturday.
Yankees manager Boone declared, “I will no longer make predictions. It doesn’t worry me at all. We’ll see.
The 31-year-old has expressed his excitement to be ready for the Houston Astros opening day on Thursday of next week.
“What matters is being there in the regular season,” Judge stated.
Thus, the goal here is to ensure that we’re prepared for those crucial games.
“I recently looked up Acuña was absent for a fortnight. Missing this window now is preferable to missing July and August when it counts most.
“So, it’s just about us being smart doing our thing and we’ll be out there when we need to.”
Due to a torn ligament in his foot, Judge was forced to miss 42 games the previous season.
His toe got injured after he went into a fence at Dodger Stadium in June.
The Yankees placed fourth in the American League East division with an 82-80 record the previous season.
