Luke Metcalf, a playmaker for the Warriors, has extended his contract with the team for two more years, keeping him with them through the end of the 2026 campaign.

The 25-year-old, who came to the Warriors from the Sharks in 2023, has played in 21 games for the team, starting the first two games of the season for the Warriors at five-eighth.

“We saw Luke as a player with great potential a long time ago,” stated Andrew McFadden, general manager of recruitment, pathways, and development for the Warriors.

“He has impressed us with his maturity and willingness to buy into everything we are trying to build here at the One New Zealand Warriors from our early conversations with him all the way up to this point.”

The announcement follows the club’s two-year contract extension of 23-year-old hooker Freddy Lussick, who will stay a Warrior through the end of 2026.

Zac Fulton, a forward for Manly, was released from his contract in order to play with the Bradford Bulls in the English second division.

The 22-year-old will play the remaining games of the 2024 Championship season with Bradford at the request of Fulton and his management.

The grandson of Manly icon Bob Fulton recently played for the Indigenous All Stars in Townsville and made his lone NRL debut for the Sea Eagles in 2022.

Izack Tago, a two-time premiership-winning Panther, has agreed to a new three-year contract that will keep him at Penrith through the end of the 2028 campaign.

While Tetavane, 33, who was briefly with the Panthers in 2020, has spent the last three seasons in the Super League with Leeds.

With immediate effect, the Dragons have released Paul Turner from the remaining portion of his contract so that he can sign a deal abroad.
