The Chicago Bears, who sold former first-round pick Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, dropped a major clue that they will select quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

When the Chicago Bears traded starting quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, they gave a clear indication of their intentions toward the NFL Draft.

According to NFL Network, the Browns will send their 2021 first-round selection, Fields, to Pittsburgh in exchange for a 2025 conditional sixth-round pick that may turn into a 2025 fourth-round selection.

After trading away 2022 first-round play-caller Kenny Pickett and signing veteran Russell Wilson, the Steelers now have a new quarterback competition.

With the top pick in the April Draft, Chicago is currently most likely to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams.
