Great news as kentucky wildcats key player was awarded by NCAA display….

The Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year Award goes to Reed Sheppard.
Reed Sheppard continues to win accolades.
Sheppard won the Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year Award for his performances for the Wildcats during the regular season. The guard from Kentucky is the third Wildcat to win it; the other two winners were Anthony Davis and John Wall.
Sheppard is a fascinating prospect because of his ability to shoot the ball, set up an offense, and wreak havoc on defense with his fast hands.
Because of his remarkable rookie campaign, Sheppard is sure to receive more awards if Kentucky makes a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
What Derek Parker of FanNation’s NBA Draft page said regarding Sheppard’s pro projection, “Sheppard’s play is further supported by the eye test. Regardless of making the transition to the NBA, he is one of the more steady-handed players we have seen, with a very repeatable outside jumper and defensive inclinations.
Sheppard’s size may be the only reason some teams are against him. However, he is probably being moved quickly up the board by others, possibly all the way to the top five. There isn’t much of a history of small guards being successful in the NBA. However, among those who have—Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Darius Garland, and others—a few of them share Sheppard’s feel for the game flexibility and ability to make decisions.”
