SAD NEWS: Caitlin Clark angry and quit training today following suspension of two key player…..
During a flashy photo shoot, Caitlin Clark was already having a good time with her teammates from the Indiana Fever.
During a midnight picture shoot with her Fever colleagues on Wednesday, the No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick was given the opportunity to borrow some chains for an icebreaker.
The Fever shared a video on X that featured some behind-the-scenes footage during the shoot. Erica Wheeler and NaLyssa Smith gave Clark their chains to wear.
Wearing both the No. 1 and the No. 17 chains, Clark was beaming and even took a playful bite out of Smith’s jewelry.
In the heat of the moment, Clark and her colleagues were grinning and joking, and she even offered an apology for the bite.
In addition to posting a picture that she took with Clark and a group photo of members of the Indiana squad posing in the middle of an Indianapolis roadway, Wheeler followed suit on her account.
After enjoying some success off the court, Clark and Indiana will be hoping for greater success on the court this year.
The Fever finished 13–27 this season, but they have added Clark, the all-time top scorer in Division I basketball for both the men’s and women’s teams, who played a stellar career at Iowa.
Her presence in the league has piqued curiosity, and ticket sales have already surged. Stubhub revealed on Wednesday that, when compared to this time last year, ticket sales for the WNBA were up 93%.
Following Clark’s selection in the WNBA draft, the Fever saw “sales skyrocketing 13-fold,” according to the firm.
Clark declared earlier this week that she was eager to get back on the court. The preseason starts on Friday against the Wings, and the regular season starts in earnest on May 14 when the Fever play the Sun.
“I believe that no matter what, I will be held to high standards and under constant pressure to lead this squad to success. Clark reportedly stated on Monday, “That’s how you want it,” the Associated Press reported. We have no desire for anything more. We want fans to attend our games; they want us to win a lot of basketball games this season, and I want to play really well. Nothing about it, I believe, has ever been different for me.
