“I’AM LEAVING” Willy Adames has announced that he is leaving the Milwaukee Brewers due to…..

Jackson Chuorio is set to become the youngest Milwaukee Brewers player to make his major league debut on Opening Day since Robin Yount in 1974.

If he starts in center field, he will be the third-youngest player to start at a position since 1900.

According to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, sources have said that the 20-year-old outfielder and second-ranked prospect in all of baseball will make the Brewers Opening Day roster.

Yount made history when he debuted at 18 and since then only Kevin Kobel in 1974 (20 years, 185 days) and Gary Sheffield (20 years, 136 days) have appeared in Opening Day games for the Brewers before turning 21 years old.

The projection of Chourio’s rise to the major leagues began in December when he signed an $82 million extension, the most ever for a player yet to appear in the majors.

But, he has impressed this spring and high expectations have been placed on his shoulders.

Manager Pat Murphy is confident that the young outfielder can handle the spotlight.

“I don’t think anyone handles (expectations) seamlessly the right way,” Murphy said.

“But I think overall he will handle it just fine because I think he cares more about being good than being rich.

Chourio is expected to spend most of his playing time in center field, he won a minor league Gold Glove last season.

While in the minor leagues, he only played in six Triple-A games and dominated Double-A pitching.

He put together a .280/.336/.467 slash with 22 home runs and 43 steals over 559 plate appearances.
