“I’AM LEAVING” NBA Forward Milan Momcilovic has announced that he is leaving the Lowa State Cyclones due to…..

Iowa State enters the NCAA Tournament for the 23rd time in school history and the seventh time as an Automatic Qualifier after winning the Big 12 Championship over the weekend.

At No. 4 in the AP Top 25, this is the highest ISU has ever been ranked entering the tournament.

The top-five Cyclones earned a No. 2 seed in the East Region in Sunday’s Selection Show.

This is the third time in the history of the program that the Cyclones have earned a number two seed – the highest by any team in school history.

The Cyclones have reached 10 NCAA Tournaments since 2012, one of 10 teams in the field this year to do so.

ISU currently owns the third-most wins in a single season in program history with 27.

One more win would tie ISU for the second-most in school history, while it would take five to tie the school benchmark at 32.

Iowa State cruised to the Big 12 Championship over the weekend, winning all three games by an average of 17 points.

Those wins included two over top 15 teams.

Keshon Gilbert was named the Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Player, while Tamin Lipsey and Milan Momcilovic were named to the All-Championship Team.

The Cyclones and their opponents – the Summit League tourney and regular season champion South Dakota State Jackrabbits – have met seven times.

SDSU has taken the last two matchups, but the Cyclones hold the all-time series advantage, 5-2.
