VERY SAD NEWS…Arrest Warrant issued Lions Defensive Back

An arrest warrant has been issued for Detroit Lions defensive back Cameron Sutton, who is wanted in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident.

Sutton joined the Lions last year after spending his first six NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Detroit Lions issued a statement on Wednesday and said “we will continue to monitor the situation”.

The Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton, according to the department’s records. Sutton is wanted on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation concerning an incident that allegedly occurred on March 7, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 4:52 a.m. ET at a residence near Tampa, and found a woman who had allegedly been battered. Sutton was no longer at the scene.

Sutton started all 17 games for the Lions in 2023 and tallied 65 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and six passes defended. The cornerback signed with Detroit before the start of last season after spending six years with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The sheriff’s office said it has made numerous attempts to contact Sutton, calling him and attempting to reach him at his residence, but those attempts were unsuccessful.
