Since Kenny Payne was fired from Louisville there have been several rumors on who would replace him.
The man at the top of the list since rumors started forming in late December has been current Baylor head coach Scott Drew.
There were rumors that Drew had met with Louisville athletic director Josh Heird over the past 2 weeks, and while that may be true, reports have now surfaced that Drew is working on an extension and will likely be staying at Baylor.
Drew has built Baylor from the ground up since his arrival in the early 2000s.
Drew has built the Bears into a national champion, and they have even built a new stadium in Waco, Texas for the revival of the basketball program.
Reports surfaced this week about Drew staying at Baylor, and it all started with Jeff Goodman from the field of 68. Followed by other local Baylor reports in the coming days after that.
