BREAKING NEWS: NEW YORK GIANTS HAVE ANNOUNCE A NEW PLAYERS IN THEIR TEAM TODAY……….

The New York Giants need a quarterback, and if they want to get one of the premium signal callers in the 2024 draft, they’ll have to move up from six to get him.

The question is, what would it take to do so? Well, Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport has an idea involving the Arizona Cardinals in which Arizona would get the Giants’ 2024 Round 1 Pick (No. 6), 2024 Round 2 Pick (No. 47), and 2024 Round 4 Pick (No. 107) in exchange for the 2024 Round 1 Pick (No. 4) and 2024 Round 5 Pick (No. 162).

Notes Davenport of the bold trade idea: “Just one year ago, the New York Giants gave quarterback Daniel Jones a four-year, $160 million contract with $92 million in guarantees. Now, after an injury-plagued 2023 season, the Giants are reportedly ready to move on.”

Davenport points to Rich Eisen’s comments on the Giants’ reported feelings on starting quarterback Daniel Jones as the reason he thinks they’d be willing to make such a trade. The problem, though, is that general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll have said that once Jones is healthy, he will be the starter.

The Giants have reportedly done extensive work on the top quarterbacks in this draft, including Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy. If they want a top quarterback, they may have to be aggressive in the first round and willing to move up.

Surmises Davenport: “The good news for the Giants is that only moving up two spots wouldn’t be as costly as a larger move up the board—similar deals in the past have generally included a Day 2 selection.”
