WORRISOME..’Stampede’ of kangaroos invades Golf Course

A local golfer was left stunned after the mob of marsupials interrupted his game at the Heritage Golf & Country Club near Melbourne.
Stephen Roche, who filmed the video, described the incident as a “fair dinkum stampede” and can be heard warning the animals to “not stand on my golf ball”.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. The golf club was at the centre of a controversy in 2021 when it announced it would carry out a culling of kangaroos that went onto the golf course.
After public outcry, the club later reversed the decision and erected fences instead.
Hundreds of kangaroos interrupted a game of golf near Melbourne on Wednesday.
A video shared by Stephen Roche showed the hopping marsupials crossing the fourth hole of the St John course at Heritage Golf and Country Club in Victoria, Australia.
“It’s a stampede,” he is heard saying, as the kangaroos pass. “Better not stand on my golf ball.”
Troops, herds or mobs of kangaroos are typically made up of 50 or more members and they can travel at speeds of up to 30 mph, according to National Geographic.
