SAD NEWS: Antonio Pierce just-announced the departure of five key players today with another significant issue in the team….

Antonio Pierce coached quarterbacks at ASU; Jayden Daniels talks about the Raiders as a potential landing spot in the draft.
Before the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders will need a quarterback, and they may choose to move up from selection No. 13 to select Jayden Daniels, one of the top signal-callers available.
It would be a wonderful reunion if Daniels and Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce could resume their previous connection.
Before Daniels signed to Arizona State in 2019, Pierce recruited him, and the two remain close even though the quarterback transferred to LSU before the 2022 year.
Daniels said, “That would be crazy,” in response to a question on Wednesday from NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe about what it would mean if the Raiders traded up to choose him and reunited him with Pierce. That is no longer the case of my power, so I try not to worry about things like that, but if it did occur, it would be absurd.”
The Raiders may consider trading up to get a quarterback, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic on Friday. However, it’s unclear if the team has Daniels as its top target.
On their most recent big board, Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department has Daniels ranked as the third-best quarterback available in the 2024 draft class, behind only Drake Maye of UNC and Caleb Williams of USC.
The Chicago Bears (No. 1), Washington Commanders (No. 2), New England Patriots (No. 3), New York Giants (No. 6), Minnesota Vikings (No. 11), and Denver Broncos (No. 12) could all be looking for a quarterback this spring, so it’s unlikely that Daniels will be available when the Raiders are on the clock at No. 13.
