SAD NEWS: Astros’ painful LOSS to Yankees…

The Yankees continued their undefeated postseason streak with a 5-0 win over the Astros in Game 5 of the ALCS. That’s three straight wins for them, to come back from being two games down in the series to lead it three games to two.

The Houston Astros got off to a blazing start, scoring four runs in the opening two innings. The runs came on the back of walks and singles, capitalizing on Yankee mistakes and doing what Houston does best; turning the screw.

New York didn’t get a lot of resistance in its win, with the Astros only registering three hits the entire game and

Yankees scored their first postseason run against Dallas Keuchel ever, and then tacked on three more against him after that for good measure. Keuchel, who had far better results against the Yankees in Game 1, got through 4 2⁄3 innings and let up seven hits in addition to those four runs. He struck out eight batters and only walked one, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Yankees off the board.

Right off the bat in the first inning, the Yankees put Starlin Castro on base and then Greg Bird singled to bring him all the way home for a 1-0 first-inning lead. Aaron Judge, who seems to have found his offense again this postseason, doubled in Brett Gardner with a just fair hit into left field to make it 2-0.
