J.J. McCarthy, the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, is the subject of much trade talk leading up to the 2024 NFL draft. Both the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings have expressed interest in trading up.

The Cardinals successfully execute a deal down and a trade up to select one of the top three receivers in the draft, according to a recent mock draft by NFL.com’s Eric Edholm.

The Cardinals receive at least Picks No. 11 and 23 in exchange for No. 4, meaning that the Vikings have two first-round picks. The terms of the transaction are unknown, but Minnesota can choose to select Drake Maye, who is available due to McCarthy’s second-round selection.

Unsatisfied, the Cardinals strike a deal to advance to No. 8 after dropping back to No. 11. Although the mock draft does not break down the exact cost of moving up three spots, the Atlanta Falcons return to No. 11.

While Odunze may not be as good as Marvin Harrison Jr., the Cardinals still need an elite receiver like him. Although it is unjust to compare him to Larry Fitzgerald, he is similar to him, according to a number of pundits, suggesting he would be a great match in Arizona.

Sean Murphy-Bunting was signed by the Cardinals to the secondary, and DeJean now brings exceptional agility. Is he a safety or a cornerback? Does it really matter? He’s got both skills.
