DONE DEAL: Baltimore Ravens Now Reach Agreement With Tennessee Titans to sign Quarterback….

When these former free agents signed with their respective new organizations, they made the right decision.

As the 2024 NFL Draft approaches and NFL free agency draws to a close, several of the league’s top players have signed new contracts with other teams.

The landscape surrounding the NFL will be very different in 2024 because so many high-profile players have signed with other teams. The 2024 free agency period didn’t disappoint, as evidenced by the signing of Kirk Cousins with the Atlanta Falcons and Saquon Barkley with the Philadelphia Eagles. This will make the upcoming season extremely entertaining.

But which of these free agents made the best decision? These five NFL free agents, as of the 2024 season, have found the best fit with their new teams.

Derrick Henry, a former Tennessee Titans running back, is one of the NFL’s top running backs, and the Baltimore Ravens made a big splash in free agency by acquiring him.

Henry, the two-time running back champion, and Lamar Jackson, the two-time NFL MVP, inked a two-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens. One of the best backfields in the NFL is formed right away by Henry and Jackson.

For the fourth time in his career, Henry led the NFL in carries in 2023 with 280 rush attempts for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns. Henry recorded 28 receptions for 214 yards in the passing game, which is the second-highest total of his career.

Henry will be the feature back next to the finest rushing quarterback in the NFL in Jackson, fitting in nicely with the run-heavy Ravens scheme. Henry has helped Baltimore become perhaps the finest rush offense in the NFL by filling a major need at running back following the departure of Gus Edwards to the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency.

Henry might produce at his most effective level in Baltimore and extend his career without having to lead the league in rush attempts to drive his offense, especially with an improved offensive line and one of the greatest quarterbacks in the league to deflect some of the spotlight.

Despite winning the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs’ regular season was marred by interceptions by its core group of receivers, which included Travis Kelce, who would go on to become a Hall of Famer.

With 44 drops, the Chiefs’ receiving core topped the NFL in 2023. Many people didn’t think the Chiefs had the firepower to win the Super Bowl because of their inexperience at wide out. Kansas City prevailed in their second consecutive game, winning the championship despite the drop issue.

The Chiefs were not content with their offensive line heading into the offseason, as they signed former wide out Marquise Brown to a $7 million, one-year contract.

Brown provides Patrick Mahomes with a great alternative in Kansas City’s system to make up for Tyreek Hill’s loss of speed at the position. The Chiefs have been lacking in pace without Hill, but Brown can beat defenses over the top at breakneck speed.

Brown might be in line for some of the best seasons of his career—since working with Jackson in Baltimore—under Mahomes. In addition to providing much-needed depth at the position, Brown provides the defending Super Bowl champions with a new top option at receiver.
