End of an era: Taylen Green and 3 other Players from Arkansas Razorbacks departed from the team after…

Media members who cover the Arkansas Razorbacks got their first dose of the energizer known as Marquise Robinson during interviews after Saturday’s 16th preseason practice.

The player whom teammates call by his nickname, “Cuddie,” not only gave the back story to that interesting nickname but also a primer on his dad’s profession and handle during a lively 11-minute session with Robinson and running back Rashod Dubinion.

Robinson, a transfer from South Alabama who began his career at Southwest Mississippi Community College, said the nickname came from his mother and aunt.

It was really two reasons,” Robinson said to explain his nickname.

“So the first reason was it was a toy at McDonald’s back then, in 2002. I don’t know nothing about it.

“And the second reason was it was this movie and the guy was smooth as butter. So my mom and dad was like, I was smooth as a kid.

So ever since I was a baby, everybody called me ‘Cuddie.’ Even my professors.

So when I heard that I was like, ‘Yeah it’s a wrap.

Robinson also has a large tattoo that reads “Bo-Hogg” on his right forearm. That is his dad’s nickname.

“My daddy was a truck driver, a great one at that,” Robinson said.

“Every time I used to be in the truck, they used to be like, ‘There goes Hogg.’

And you know, when you’re driving in the woods, there’s a lot of mud.

My daddy never got stuck in no mud in the woods, so they called him Bo-Hogg.”
