Milwaukee Brewers

“I’AM LEAVING” Freddy Peralta has announced that he is leaving the Milwaukee Brewers today due to…..

Already dealing with injuries at the major league level, the Milwaukee Brewers are now dealing with a potentially serious injury at the minor league level as top prospect Jeferson Quero left Friday’s game early for Triple-A Nashville.

The 21-year-old Quero is well-regarded as an excellent defensive catcher and MLB.com projects that he will make his debut this season.

The Brewers are also dealing with injuries to Wade Miley and Brandon Woodruff at the big league level, with Woodruff expected to miss the whole season.

The Brewers are 1-0 on the season after defeating the New York Mets on Opening Day (Friday).

The two teams will play again on Saturday at 1:40 p.m. ET as DL Hall (MIL) pitches against veteran Luis Severino (NYM).

After Bryse Wilson retired only one of the three batters he faced to start the eighth, manager Pat Murphy called for Milner to face lefty pinch-hitter Brett Baty.

The move backfired badly, as Milner’s first pitch of 2024 was parked out to right-center for a three-run homer. But Milner did recover by recording two quick outs after that to keep it a 7-5 game.

After a throwing error allowed Willy Adames to reach first to open the seventh, Hoskins stepped to the plate and with one out immediately had a pitch thrown behind his back by Mets reliever Yohan Ramírez.

Adames scampered to second and Hoskins just stood at home plate with his hands on his hips while Murphy made his way out of the dugout to express his displeasure to the umpires.

After conferring, they ejected Ramírez and Hoskins completed his plate appearance by drawing a walk from former Brewer Jorge López.

Neither Adames nor Hoskins came in to score, however, as the score remained 6-2.
