OF Aaron Judge announcement that he is leaving New York Yankee Now another significant issue for team…..

The New York Yankees have acquired right-handed relief pitcher Jake Cousins from the Chicago White Sox, the team announced Sunday.
The White Sox will receive cash considerations in the deal.
Cousins, 29, had not appeared for Chicago in the 2024 season before he was traded.
In nine appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers last year, he had seven strikeouts, 10 walks and a 4.82 ERA in 9.1 innings pitched.
He was claimed off of waivers by the Houston Astros in July, spending most of his time with the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys.
Cousins had a career-high 30 appearances in 2021.
That season, with the Brewers, he had 44 strikeouts and a 2.70 ERA in 30 innings pitched, showing promise of what he can do on the mound.
Cousins signed a minor-league contract with Chicago in December.
New York is off to a strong start in 2024, sweeping the Astros to begin the year 4-0. It’s unclear what Cousins’ role with the organization will be, but he at least gives them another arm to use if needed.
Cabrera’s home run came off of hard-throwing reliever Bryan Abreu, who gave up three runs in the loss.
All in all, Cabrera was 1-for-4 with the homer and two RBI. He’s hitting .538 through the first week of the year.
Marcus Stroman earned the win in his first Yankees’ appearance.
New York and Houston will play again on Sunday afternoon at 2:10 p.m. ET. Clarke Schmidt takes the ball for the Yankees while young right-hander J.P. France toes the rubber for the Astros.
