Andy Reid is the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and is regarded as one of the most successful NFL coaches of all time.

He has been credited with turning the football franchise around entirely. He coached the team to Super Bowl victories in 2020, 2023, and most recently, 2024, where the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

“I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen,” said Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after the 2024 Super Bowl. “He’s unbelievable at not only dialing up plays and having everybody prepared, but he’s one of the best leaders of men that I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Prior to coaching the Chiefs, Andy Reid served as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012.

He was also once an aspiring sportswriter, and in 2017, he told The Kansas City Star that the job made sense while he was in college. Reid said, “There’s a point in college where you’re not exactly sure what direction you’re going, but I always thought it would be fun to write for Sports Illustrated.”

Beyond coaching football, Reid is also a father of five children. Ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, he shared how family and faith were priorities for him alongside football.

“I think it’s important that you spend time with your family,” he said during media week, per Deseret News. “I’ve got 12 grandkids and one on the way. It’s important that we divide our time up. I’m blessed to have a great wife who likes to travel and see all the grandkids. She has a little bit more freedom to do that.”
