SAD NEWS: Washington Commanders announced that Marcus Mariota is Leaving immediately today after Facing…..

The Washington Commanders are more and more linked to LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels in the 2024 NFL Draft coming up this April, but that No. 2 overall pick is just the beginning of the story if he is indeed the selection.
Chad Reuter of NFL.com decided to dive deeper into what the Commanders – and all the other franchises – might do with their remaining picks through the 5th Round of this year’s selection meeting, and it all starts with a new tackle to go with the young quarterback.
With the first of its two second-round picks, Washington added a tackle prospect who played nearly 800 snaps at left tackle for the Wildcats in 2023 and finished with an 87.3 pass-blocking grade according to Pro Football Focus.
A perimeter defenders with versatile experience and better than average tackling ability DeJean could also contribute on special teams.
Taking this pair of second round players the mock draft has the Commanders passing up other Day 2 prospects like cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry out of Alabama and edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland from Western Michigan.
Franklin isn’t a towering receiver but is taller than any currently on the Washington roster, and he possess explosive ability that would pair well with Daniels and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.
