One of the top offensive units in college football last season, Bernard helped the Huskies win the Pac-12 and secure a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
For Washington, Bernard caught 34 passes for 419 yards and two touchdowns; yet, the Crimson Tide can use Bernard in a more significant capacity.
With Isaiah Bond heading to the University of Texas, Bernard has a chance to shine as a playwright. The 203-pound, 6-foot-1 Las Vegas, Nevada, athlete has had a successful spring, including several plays produced in just two plays.
Although Alabama has had success with transfer wide receivers, quarterback Jalen Milroe gave reporters an overview of Bernard’s qualities that make him a good match for the Tide. His addition to a great receiver room has proven beneficial.
After practice on Tuesday, Milroe declared, “I really like Germie.” “Excellent size, quickness, toughness, and confidence in their play make it difficult to stop a confident player.” Because of the leader he is, I’m proud of him. Coming from Washington, it was a difficult adjustment for him to come here. This is the south, and he’s in a new atmosphere now. Although he is not from the South, he has been successful in getting to where he is. In addition to being a fantastic player for our club, I am incredibly proud of the man.
