SIGN IN: Louisville cardinals sign five talented mega-star NBA….

Following John Calipari’s departure from Kentucky, the 16-year-old sensation resumed recruiting; Louisville will receive his first visit.

Jayden Quaintance, a five-star McDonald’s All-American class of 2024, initially signed with Kentucky but reopened his recruitment once John Calipari left to join Arkansas. He was released by the UK last week, and according to his father, who spoke with Eric Bossi of 247sports, he will be visiting Louisville for the first time.

On Thursday, the player ranked in the consensus top 10 is anticipated to pay Louisville a formal visit.

Quaintance, a 16-year-old center who won’t be available for the NBA Draft until 2026, reclassified from the Class of 2025 to the Class of 2024 and signed a contract with Kentucky on November 14, 2023. It had no bearing on his rating.

The 6-foot-9 Quaintance continued to rank among the country’s top 10 players. In the 247Sports and 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is regarded as the No. 2 center and the eighth best player in the country. He is North Carolina’s best player.

Quaintance said of his choice to reclassify, “I feel confident in my decision,” to 247Sports in November. “I’ve been performing for a very long time throughout the summer, and in high school, you have to play at your best in every class. Thus, I don’t think anything really changes; it will only help me get to college a bit quicker.”

After narrowing it down to four states—Kentucky, Florida, Ohio State, and Missouri—he made his final decision turned into an SEC race involving Kentucky and Missouri, two horses.

Quaintance was a prep basketball player at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Word of God Christian Academy. In the summer of 2023, he played for Team USA at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Yucatan, Mexico. In 18.7 minutes on average, he scored 6.7 points, pulled down 6.5 rebounds, and blocked 2.8 shots, helping Team USA win the gold medal.

Quaintance excelled in the 2023 NBPA Top 100 Camp, which took place in Orlando, Florida, this past summer. He averaged 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, and 64.9% from the field. On April 1, he participated in the McDonald’s All-American Game in Houston and finished with seven points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

Quaintance performed this past weekend in Portland at the Hoop Summit Jermayne Lole, a defensive tackle, is leaving the University of Louisville after two seasons and going through the transfer portal.

Although Lole has been in spring practice with the Cardinals for the past month, he hasn’t been participating in many, if any, live repetitions when the team does 11-on-11 work. Lole declared on January 19 that he would return to U of L for another season.

Prior to the 2022 season, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive tackle transferred from Arizona State. Lole’s play with the Sun Devils generated interest in the NFL Draft prior to his triceps injury that kept him out of the 2021 campaign. During his freshman season at U of L, he made one appearance before being injured.
