UPDATE REPORT: The Yankees DUO are BACK IN…

As far as playing-wise, maybe Sunday, hopefully Monday. The duo of Aaron Judge and DJ LeMahieu will be ready to go. It won’t be an issue for Opening Day, that’s for sure.”
The Yankees need it not to be, especially because they are not particularly deep at first base. They got good news now as the duo returns on lineup.
DJ LeMahieu would be the normal backup there, as he recovered from an injury of his own earlier than expected. He had a significant bone bruise on his right foot after fouling a ball off it recently.
LeMahieu was able to take some batting practice indoors on Friday in a positive step, along with taking ground balls at third base, doing agility drills and throwing.
Still, manager Aaron Boone acknowledged that LeMahieu has “got a way to go to be at the point where he’s ready to play.”
The latest Judge injury update comes around 24 hours after the five-time MLB All-Star swung off a tee and faced a pitching machine on Sunday. It had fans believing that more improvement was around the corner, but that might not be the case.
A chunk of the fan base are excited with the situation. It was only on March 13 that Yankees manager Aaron Boone told the media that Judge was supposed to be in the lineup
