Zvonimir Ivisic, a former freshman big man from Kentucky, signed a contract with Razorbacks coach John Calipari on Wednesday, the university of Arkansas said.

It was reported on April 13 that Ivisic went through the NCAA transfer site. On Monday, he made a verbal commitment to Arkansas.

“Big Z! After the announcement, Calipari shared on social media, “I’m so excited to see how good he can become when he finally gets a full summer and preseason to practice with our team.”

Ivisic, a 7-2 and 234-pound player from Vodice, Croatia, was cleared to play on January 20 and joined the Wildcats for the second half of the season. In 11 minutes per game, he averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks.

On March 2 at Lexington, Kentucky, he led his team to a 111-102 victory over Arkansas with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

Ivisic was ranked No. 38 on the transfer portal by On3.com.

Ivisic, who turns 21 in August, shot 34% from three-point range and averaged 11.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game while representing Croatia in the FIBA U20 European Championship.

He is Calipari’s first signee and commitment at Arkansas. Calipari was hired on April 10.
