SAD NEWS: Todd McShay send a brutal massage to West Virginia Mountaineers fans ahead of NFL Draft….

Veteran commentator Todd McShay will not be covering the NFL Draft next week for the first time since 2009.

In June 2023, McShay was one of the unlucky victims of ESPN’s huge layoffs, which resulted in the dismissal of over a dozen on-air personalities.

In a statement on X, the defunct Twitter platform, McShay expressed gratitude to readers and former colleagues for their support during this draft season on Friday. He continued by providing more justification for his absence and outlining a few places where he could be found sharing his thoughts and insights.

I would like to express my gratitude for a moment! We have noted and are very grateful for the overwhelming support we have received during the season,” he added.

“As for the draft the next week, it’s business as usual here, but I’m sitting this one out on TV owing to clear contract limits! I will be appearing on God Bless Football tonight and on the podcasts @PardonMyTake and @ryenrussillo the following week. Don’t forget to follow @ScoutsIncMuench. He will keep you informed about the impending draft; he has been my right-hand guy for the last 20 years.

“Once again, I appreciate all of your help and questions on where to find me in the 2024 draft. I’m eager to go back out there and will update you on my future plans.

Nevertheless, McShay won’t be covering the draft this year, so it will be fascinating to see where he appears when he can finally return to his prominent role the following year.
