SAD NEWS: Chicago Bears announced that Walter Payton is leaving immediately today….

Death, taxes, and at least one significant deal made during the 2024 NFL Draft are the three things that are certain in life. With the big event just a few days away, a number of well-known pundits have begun to project what will transpire after the Chicago Bears are placed under official team suspension. Trades are unavoidable when some teams fall in love with a particular prospect and others want to acquire additional picks to attempt and sign as many players as possible.

One of the most well-known NFL Draft experts, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, has made a prediction for at least one significant deal. The Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals will both attempt to trade up in the first round, according to Zeirlein.

The Arizona Cardinals, who now own the 27th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, as was shown in the tweet above, appear to be interested in maybe jumping up into the top 15. Zierlein’s post suggests as much. Equipped with six selections in the initial three rounds of the NFL Draft, this squad possesses an abundance of draft capital to acquire any player they desire.

The New Orleans Saints appear to be the most likely trade-down contender based on the board. They have no picks in the third or fourth rounds, and their roster is replete with weaknesses. Arizona may forfeit picks 27, 66, and 90 (1,080 points) in exchange for the 14th overall pick (1,100 points), according to the Drafttek Trade Value chart.

An further potential

The Chicago Bears are a trade candidate in the NFL Draft. The group owns two of the first nine draft picks and the following two hundred and forty-eight picks. Chicago may be open to trading the ninth overall pick, but they will never give up the first pick. The Cardinals would most likely need to give away choices 27, 35, and 90 in order to advance that far.

Leaders Exchange Situations
Washington possesses two second-round picks, three third-round selections, and one first-round pick. They should be able to secure a top-20 pick if they bundle both of their second-round selections. Given that first-year head coach Mike Macdonald would likely embrace a rebuild, the Seattle Seahawks may be prepared to trade the 16th overall pick for the 36th and the forty-first draft picks. Although this is a possibility, it would be a high cost for a team with needs all over the squad.

It’s likely that the Washington Commanders would target a pick in the late 20s or early 30s if they trade back into the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Because they need to address as many holes as possible through the NFL Draft after losing many key players to free agency, the Baltimore Ravens are an excellent target. In exchange for choices 36 and 100 (for 640 points), would the Ravens be ready to trade the 30th pick (worth 620 points)?

It also makes sense to trade for the Chiefs in the NFL Draft. With Rashee Rice out and L’Jarius Sneed gone, this club needs as many picks as possible to help them retain their championship. Should Washington present selections 40 and 100 (600 pts)Kansas City would most likely say yes for the 32nd overall pick (590).
